The Beatles – 1968, mixed media (ink and watercolor). Picture is 18 x 24 inches and will fit into a standard frame of that size. When I was a 60’s kid, I was a Beatlemaniac. That’s why they show up so often in my art. This piece took around twelve hours to draw in ink. Then, for the first time ever, I applied watercolor over the top of it. I was scared to death! But there’s no denying that the colors, chosen based on the members’ personalities, sent this work into the stratosphere.
